Encyclopedia of Impossible Animal Hybrids, Created by AI

It’s not like there aren’t enough animal species on Earth already… but are there really? Well, a redditor Macilento thinks there could be more. He decided to use Midjourney AI to create unique animal hybrids by mixing two already existing animal species together. The results are surprising and pretty hilarious.

  1. The owlbear has been a D&D beastie since the mid-1970s. Some of these, to be fair, could be inducted as well. And I’d gladly become a “crazy llat lady” given the opportunity.

  2. You literally just broke the code for Pokemon creatures.

Personally, I’d like to see a mash-up of a lobster and a rock.

  3. So relistic I honestly thought for a moment that the whale + jellyfish was real…. so cool!

  4. The Turtuck is basically the Turtle Duck from Avatar: The Last Airbender, and quite cute! Honestly, though, a lot of these are really neat & I personally think it’d be cool to use science like gene editing to try and make many of these become reality.

    Very cool!
